ABL was established by the local community in 1992. Working with Bradford Metropolitan District Council we rebuilt the then derelict Carlisle Mills to create the Carlisle Business Centre. Not only is this our home, it offers affordable workspace, and provides excellent facilities for meetings and a whole host of other activities and events
WE'RE NOW A SIGNIFICANT ASSET OWNING DEVELOPMENT TRUST AND SOCIAL ENTERPRISE
All our profits are ploughed back into the community, helping social cohesion and the economic regeneration of Manningham. Over the years ABL has managed a number of significant regeneration projects including social and cultural events, training initiatives, seminars and conferences. Funders for these projects included the Big Lottery, the European Regional Development Fund and the European Social Fund.
